The Aliceville Yellow Jackets defeated Falkville 38-21 in the second round of the playoffs last Friday at home.

The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a 11-1 record.... They were 8-0 on their home turf and 3-1 on the road.

The Yellow Jackets' offense is averaging 45.3 points a game....

Aliceville is on a ten game winning streak since losing to Center Point in week two of the season by a score of 48-18 on the road. During the winning streak the Yellow Jackets have outscored their opponents by an average of 47.1-16.1.

They qualified for the playoffs by finishing 1st in Class 2A Region 5. The Yellow Jackets were 6-0 in region play.

The Yellow Jackets have made 31 playoff appearances with an overall record of 41-28.... They are 3-3 on the road in the quarterfinals. 		The Pisgah Eagles defeated Southeastern 48-28 in the second round of the playoffs last Friday on the road.

The Eagles enter the game with a 10-2 record.... They were 4-2 on their home turf and 6-0 on the road.

The Aliceville Yellow Jackets have qualified for the playoffs a total of 32 times since 1966. They won the only playoff state championship in the history of the school in 2000.

They have reached the playoffs 26 consecutive seasons since 1995.

The Yellow Jackets will travel to Pisgah this week for a Quarterfinals game at Sam Kenimer Stadium. They are 3-3 in previous years in the Quarterfinals on the road. 		The Pisgah Eagles have qualified for the playoffs a total of 26 times since 1966. The Eagles have never won a playoff state championship.

This is their first playoff appearance since the 2021 season.

Morris Higginbotham coached three different teams to divisional state championships in the 1950s. He won titles at Walnut Grove in 1952, West Blocton in 1955 and Enterprise in 1960.
